Edit Gallery Details and Custom Fields in Nextgen Gallery
This tutorial will show you how to edit the gallery details and preset custom fields (price, artist, size etc).
Login to WordPress
In your Dashboard screen look to the bottom of the left side navigation menu and click on the ‘Gallery’ heading.
Gallery Menu
You will see the ‘Gallery’ menu expand to show some more options. These options will vary depending on your user settings.
Click on the ‘Manage Gallery’ link. This will display the list of galleries you have available.
Gallery Overview
Click on the name of the gallery you want to edit details for. This will take you to the gallery overview. There are a number of fields that can be edited from here:
Title: This is the gallery title that will show in the gallery main page (album).
Description: This is the gallery description that will show in the gallery main page (album).
Preview Image: This is the default image for the gallery.
Alt & Title Text: This is the image title.
Description: This will create a description for the image.
Exclude: This will prevent the particular image from displaying in the gallery.
You may also have other custom fields for each image that have been setup. You can change those details as you wish.

Once you have finished editing the text and fields, make sure you click the ‘Update Images’ blue button. This will save your changes.
